Steelers vs. Redskins haiku contest winner

November 02, 2012 By: Admin Category: Haiku contests

We got lots of good entries in this week’s haiku contest.  And unlike most weeks, nobody was disqualified for not following the proper format.

So without further ado, here are the winners of this week’s haiku contest.

In 3rd place is this beauty by Dan.

A throwback attack
from the giant bumblebees
bad for RG3!

In second place we have Jim.

In the endless rain
Redskins could not catch a cold
Run Jonathan run!

And in first place, we have a tie.  I just couldn’t choose between these two fine pieces of haiku mastery.

Patrick wrote:

Finally defense
Stinging like a swarm of bees
Leave a Red-skinned rash

And  SteelerGurl wrote:

Steelers, like Sandy,
clad in prison uniforms
took no prisoners!

I know that you probably wanted to see just one winner.  But those two were so good that I just couldn’t choose one over the other.  So Patrick and SteelerGurl are this week’s winners.  They’ve each earned their black belt in haiku.

Next week we’ll have to see if any of you can dethrone these two haiku samurai.

  1. Wise decision.

After agonizing over this for a few days, I’m gonna say..

    Go SteelerGurl!

    Let’s hear it again!

    “Steelers, like Sandy,
    clad in prison uniforms
    took no prisoners!”

    What a Steelers fan!!

    Patrick too!
