Ryan Clark jacks up Wes Welker!!!

For those of you who missed it, Ryan Clark put a devastating hit on Patriots’ receiver Wes Welker. Welker never returned to the game after the hit, so I’m going to assume that he was seeing birds and hearing bells.

Let’s take one more look at the hit.

We have the hardest schedule in the NFL and sit 9-3…the soft Patriots have the easiest schedule and sit 7-5 behind the Jets. That hit on Welker is exactly why Moss dropped a few…receivers are scared of this defense. Hell, defenses are scared of Hines Ward!!

I have been waiting for five years for someone to le Wes Welker know that he does not own the middle of tghe field. Ryan Clark, you are my hero and your hit was 100% clean and legal. Screw the incompetent refs who thanks to an inept commissioner think some players are wearing skirts.

    Jim,
I know exactly what you mean. The defense needs to send a message to receivers that they can’t come across the middle on the Steelers.

That hit was worth the penalty. Other teams will watch that video and think twice about coming across the middle too.

And you’re right, it was a clean hit.

    Andy,
Randy Moss definitely developed “alligator arms” after that hit. I love it when other teams are scared of our “D”. That’s the way that it’s supposed to be.

I want to know what the flag was for? He did not lead with his helmet. Granted Welker was defenseless..but isn’t every receiver that comes across the middle?? If the ball hadn’t been tipped would it have been a penalty if Welker had caught the ball? and if so..then the penalty is completely bogus because you can’t expect the defender to react after the ball has been tipped?? that’s ridiculous? On the other hand I do hope that Welker is not injured..just hurt :)

Ya…..No one is afraid of the steelers D, I’d come across the middle on those loose panzies.

It seems to me that the hit on Santonio was helmet to helmet, but there was no flag. This hit was not helmet to helmet, it was a clean hit, since the ball was tipped. But it was really a good hit, so the officials decided to penalize it… It hasn’t made sense all season long. Different teams, different criteria.

The ball was tipped, bang ,bang BANG! play. I too have been waiting for that little rat to get it! Patriots Hatred, Keep rolling fellas . Victoria B.C .

    Carlos,
I could not agree with you more!!!! I was thinking the exact same thing when he got flagged. Not only that, but look how long it took for a flag!!!

And the other call the Zebras blew was the holding call on Taylor. Moss was actually holding Taylor by the arm and wouldn’t allow him to get around to the ball.

But hey, still a can of whoop ass poured on the Patsy Pats.

Let’s hope that Mr. Ben Overconfident wakes up this week and realizes he has the worst offensive line of any 11 win team in the history of the NFL. We can no longer run the ball. Ben cannot stop turning the ball over. Our punter would place in the bottom third of the 2009 girls punt, pass and kick competition. How bad can it get sports fans? We are in deep trouble and sadly, coach Tomlin has not figured it out yet.

This kid is as dirty as the day is long. If it’s Rodney Harrison making these hits, he would get crucified. Another “legal, clean” hit yesterday as he smashed his helmet into McGahee’s helmet. The day this kid (Clark) cripples himself and leaves football forever can’t come quick enough for me. A head-hunting, piece of feces is all he is.

PS – the NFL, Steeler fans, and Welker himself can claim the hit was clean on Welker. It was a cheap shot, case closed.
