Steelers-Cowboys Recap Haiku

December 07, 2008 By: Admin Category: Post-Game Reports

If you haven’t done so already, please see our Steelers vs Cowboys Recap.  And if you didn’t read our pre-game articles, please see our Steelers-Cowboys Preview and our Key Match-ups.  Lastly, we also wrote an article about Cowboys’ rookie running back Tashard Choice.

Here is this week’s haiku competition.

Well, the steelers’ pull out an amazing victory.  They almost gave me an ulcer in the process, but ultimately, the black and gold got the win.

To commemorate their 20-13 win over Dallas, here is this week’s commemorative haiku.  Remember, a haiku is a japanese poem that has 3 lines.  The first line has 5 syllables.  The second line has 7 syllables.  And the last line has 5 syllables.

Frigid conditions
Offense struggles once again
Townsend wins the game

Alright Steeler Nation, your turn.  Can you top my haiku?  This weeks winner will be featured on the main page late in the week.  Good luck.

  10. ‘boys whiners forget:
    Even without Deshea’s pick
    we still likely win.

[Remember, at that point, the score was tied, Dallas would've faced 3rd and 8 deep in their own territory with time winding down. If we hold them on 3rd down (likely), they have to punt into that wind, we get good field position and probably are able to move in for at least a field goal to win it. Which is why we were already starting to call timeouts.]

  14. the steelers are on the verge of something really special. we can say with confidence that destiny has alot to do with everyday life, and in sports as well. when we advanced to superbowl xl, i really believe at sixth seed, destiny/fate had alot to do with the steelers prevailing in detroit. we don’t have a great offense, heck i can say we don’t really have an adequate offense, it is our defense that is carrying this team, and they do it unselfisly. farrior said there is no finger pointing in this locker room, and i believe that this the attitude that transcends to every player in blk&gold. this version defense believes that they can make the difference in the outcomes of these games, and if you look at 6 of our wins, they have.
