Wish I Were There
Unfortunately, I am like so many members of Steeler Nation who are living outside of Steelers Country. I reside in Upstate New York. Enemy territory. Buffalo Bills territory. And with the Bills currently being undefeated, I have to tolerate hearing about the Bills 24/7. Yeah, the same Bills that choked in like 9 consecutive Super Bowls. Or maybe it was only 4. I can’t remember. I just know it was a lot of choking.
When I’m not being tortured with Bills talk, I have to listen to Giants talk. Or even worse, I have to hear about the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets (barf!). I think I understand what John McCain felt like when he was held and tortured in that Vietnamese prison camp.
Fortunately, I have loyal Steelers fans who help me by sending me Steelers contraband to help me make it through another day in this Buffalo Bills wasteland.
This week, my sister, who is a loyal Steelers fan, sent me pictures that she took at the Steelers-Ravens game. Seeing the sea of black and gold is enough to bring a tear to my eye. I’m not in “The Burgh”, but my heart will never leave there. Thanks for the pics, sis. Love ya.

I was there…I’m in that picture, though, quite small and not visible to the naked eye. In section 520 about 12 rows or so from the top, right beneath the chunk of purple and white people.

I feel your pain. Being in Browns and Bengals territory would definitely be painful. And everyone knows that Buckeyes fans are irritating. But at least you get to taunt the each year when the Buckeyes inevitably choke in a bowl game.
By the way, who let people wearing purple and white into a Steelers game? Boo! Hiss!
