Troy Polamalu’s new Nike commercial

With the Steelers having a bye this weekend, I thought this would be a good change of pace. If you haven’t seen Troy Polamalu’s new Nike commercial, take a look. It also features some running back for the San diego Chargers, but I can’t remember his name. As far as I’m concerned, it’s Troy’s commercial. To view it, click the play button below.

Way to go, Troy!

BTW, did anyone else wonder whether Troy really had the long hair even as a kid?

I guess you’re bitter since LT is a HOF’er, and Pola-whats-his-name will only be known for playing on the worst team to win a Super Bowl.

Great commercial!!! But what is the name of the song playing in it? I’ve been looking everywhere and I can’t find it.

    Frank,
Sorry, but I don’t know what the song is. Perhaps one of my readers does. Anyone?

Hey go Chargers, who is having the better season this year?

  5. admin on October 12th, 2008 10:57 pm

    Go Chargers,
I welcome comments from other team’s fans. However, please be courteous when you visit here. This is a Steelers site. Everything I post here has a Steelers bias. I don’t apologize for that.

I agree that LaDanian Tomlinson is a great player. I meant no disrespect to him. It was a joke. Much of what I write here is tongue-in-cheek. Try to catch the humor, dude.

You’ll notice that your first message which was laced with profanity was not posted. If you choose to visit again, please show respect and restraint. This is a family-oriented website. We are rated PG. Thanks.

    It’s a remixed version of Ennio Morricone’s Ecstasy of Gold…possibly Jay-Z’s Blueprint 2.

The song in the commercial background is called Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone

Thank you, TheJim! It’s off the soundtrack for “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. I checked out the Jay-Z song as well and there is rapping over it, so I don’t think that’s where the commercial version came from. But anyway, it’s a great start. Thanks again!

This is in response to “Go Chargers.” First of all, Polamalu is definitely a future hall of famer as well. Also, being part of the “worst team” to ever win a Super Bowl is still better than the “best team” to never have won a Super Bowl.

This is the best commercial I have seen for Niki. Two great players. I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan myself and Polamalu is my favorite player. Two great players in one commercial thats great who ever thought of it.
