Ravens lose to Patriots in AFC Championship

January 22, 2012 By: Admin Category: Uncategorized

There are few things that I enjoy more than a Pittsburgh Steelers victory.  But one of them is a loss by the Baltimore Ravens.

So as you might guess, the Ravens’ 23-20 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game made me a very happy man.  The only thing that would have been better than a loss by the Ravens would have been if somehow both teams had lost.  But I still haven’t figured out a way for that to happen, so I guess I’ll have to settle for the Ravens’ loss.

The Ravens and Patriots are probably the two teams that most Steelers fans hate most.  So watching the Ravens go down put a smile on lots of faces in Pittsburgh.  The only thing that can make this even better is if the New York Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl.  That will be like getting two for the price of one.

The Ravens had an opportunity to tie the game, but their kicker missed a 32 yard field goal that even I could have made.  I would have almost felt bad for Ravens fans if I hadn’t been so busy laughing at them.  Bwahahahaha!

I keep watching SportsCenter to see if they’ll show a shot of Ray Lewis, or Ed Reed, or Haloti Ngata crying.  That will be absolutely priceless.

It’s getting late, and I’m really tired.  But I refuse to go to bed until I see Ray Lewis in tears.

Go Steelers!

  1. Yeah, The Raven’s disappointed us with that loss against the Patriots on Sunday because we had that game in our hands. I’m still a die hard Raven’s fan and most importantly, we kicked the Steeler’s butts twice and they did not even make it to the final 4 in the playoffs.

So I guess yall Steeler’s fans will be sitting back watching the Superbowl just like us Raven’s fans! Ha! Ha! to that!

Well Jwash, you are correct. Your Ravens beat our Steelers twice this year to earn a sweep in the 2011 season.

That just goes to show as the old adage says, “Even a blind dog can find a bone once in a while!”

  3. Dont mind at all sitting back and watching all the teams we lost to, get beaten also. Did our hearts good. If you go to facebook, you will see those beautiful superbowl trophys all in a row, all six of them. Sorry you will be watching the super Bowl with us. Now you can suck it up.

  4. @Jwash – All playoff losses are equal. What’s really important to Steeler Nation is that the Rat Birds didn’t win a Superbowl.

  5. GO STEELERS is right!!!

It was almost as gratifying as a Pittsburgh win watching the dirty birdies go down when it was so close they could TASTE it!! Puhahahahahaha! Who CARES that they swept us this season when it amounts to NOTHING. They win the division and got tee shirts. Couldn’t win the championship trophy though. Bummer. NOT!!!

All the bird fans said this year was prior years don’t matter, it doesn’t matter what Pitt did last year, look at what we’re doing now! Well I would like to say on behalf of allllllllllllllllllllllll Steeler Nation “BALL HARDER NEXT YEAR!!” Ball So Hard University my a$$

You have had so much joy with winning teams in your nice city. Why be mean over another person’s sorrow? Losing a game can be heartbreaking. Didn’t you feel bad when a glorious game by Tim Tebow upset your season?
Rejoice that your QB gutted it out with his injuries. You lost the Superbowl last year…didn’t you feel bad? Baltimore is where many of your citizens come to find work. They pay taxes here. They are good hard working people.
Staying up to see people cry is a result of poor influences in your life.
Seek positive, productive, people and you will find good in everything!

  7. Okay, Dr. Phil. You’re right. That was mean of me. ;-)
