Santonio Holmes’ commercial (video)

August 17, 2009 By: Admin Category: Uncategorized

August 18, 2009

The NFL Fantasy Files ad campaign is very entertaining.  I think they’ve done a good job with all of the commercials.  I hate to give a Baltimore Raven credit for ANYTHING,  but I must admit that even the one with Joe Flacco in it is pretty good.

But needless to say, the best one in the entire series is the one with the Steelers’ own Santonio Holmes.  If you haven’t seen it yet, just click below and start watching.  So what are you waiting for?

Personally, I thought that this one with former Cleveland Brown Braylon Edwards was pretty funny.  After all, Braylon is a certified “drop master”.  Heck, he has like a 12th degree black belt in dropping passes.  So does anyone else see the irony in this commercial?  It must have been added to bring satire to the campaign.

Funny, wasn’t it?

Troy Polamalu’s disappointing Coke commercial

February 02, 2009 By: Admin Category: Players

Was it just me, or did Troy’s new Coke commercial not live up to the hype?  I see what the writers were trying to do.  It just didn’t work for me.  Frankly, I thought it was corny.

As a matter of fact, I was pretty disappointed with the entire batch of Super Bowl commercials this year.  I didn’t see a great commercial in the bunch.

Nevertheless, here is Troy’s commercial for any of you who missed it.

Troy Polamalu’s new Coke ad (video)

January 26, 2009 By: Admin Category: Players

Note:  This article originally contained the pre-Super Bowl teaser of the ad.  Now that the Super Bowl is past, I have replaced it with the full commercial. So what you will see below is Troy’s new commercial in its entirety.

Troy Polamalu will be debuting a new Coke ad during the Super Bowl.  The ad will be a revision of the Mean Joe Greene Coke ad of the 70′s.  While the two commercials are going to be quite similar, the folks at Coke promise that the new ad will have an unexpected twist.  They’re not telling what that twist will be, so tune in to the Super Bowl to see the mystery revealed.

For those of you who are too young to remember the original, here it is.

But of course the best version of all was Sesame Street’s parody of the commercial.

Of course, I’m just joking about that last one.  But the original Mean Joe Greene commercial has to be one of the best commercials ever made.  Congratulations to Troy on this great opportunity to represent a great product like Coke during the Super Bowl.

Polamalu Island commercial for Steelers vs. Bengals game

November 18, 2008 By: Admin Category: Players

I know that with the last few posts, Steelers Today is starting to look like a memorial to Troy Polamalu. That is why I am reluctant to post this particular item. However, the commercial for this Thursday’s game between the Steelers and Bengals was so cool that I had to post it. It’s called “Polamalu Island”. Take a look, if you haven’t seen it already.

I don’t have a “man-crush” on Troy, and I promise this will be the last Troy Polamalu video for a while (unless he makes another great interception).
