Top 10 Reasons Why Pittsburgh Is Better Than Cincinnati

October 13, 2008 By: Admin Category: Lists

As the Steelers prepare to play the Bungles Bengals, I started thinking about how the two teams compared. Of course, this got me thinking about how the two cities compare. Here are my top 10 reasons why Pittsburgh is better than Cincinnati.

#10) When you look across the river from downtown Cincinnati, you see Kentucky. Advantage: Pittsburgh.

I'm from Kentucky, y'all!

#9) The worst item from Primanti Bros. is better than the BEST item from Skyline Chili. Advantage: Pittsburgh.

#8) The Pitt Panthers own the Cincinnati Bearcats in Big East Basketball. Advantage: Pittsburgh.

#7) Steelers players don’t have to bring their parole officers to games with them. Advantage: Pittsburgh.

#6) Cincinnati’s most famous son is Jerry Springer. In fact, he used to be the city’s mayor. No kidding. Look it up. Cincinnati should repent for that. Advantage: Pittsburgh.

#5) Our hockey team is better than their hockey team. Oh wait, they don’t have a hockey team. Ha! Advantage: Pittsburgh.

  1. Love it! Posted it on my Facebook page. Thanks!

    [email protected]

  2. Thanks Bonnie. I’ll have to check out your facebook page.

It’s good to know that someone other than my mom actually reads my site. ;-)

  3. Doug from too close to Philly says:

Loved this one almost as much as the Philly one. Incidently, you left out a reason Pittsburgh’s better thabn Philly (should be in top 5): You have to go to Pittsburgh to get a Primanti Brother’s. You can get a rotten cheesesteak anywhere.
Thanks, keep up the good work!

  4. Thanks Doug. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I actually left of LOTS of reasons why Pittsburgh is better than Philly. Afterall, there are millions of them. However, I like yours. And now, my readers are aware of that one too.

BTW, sorry to hear that you live too close to Philly. :-(

  5. The #10 isn’t very fair I’ll give you northern ky isn’t very nice but i’m from lexington horse capital of the world and love it. Although it still can’t compare to pittsburgh

  6. I am a HUGE steeler fan from…Kentucky. Why do you feel the need to slam our state with negative stereotypes. In case you didn’t know one of the biggest black and gold brigade steeler fan clubs is in Louisville Kentucky. This kind of garbage really is uncalled for and its unfair and untrue.

  7. Hope and Jim,
I apologize if I’ve offended you. Kentucky is actually a very nice state.

I was just having a little fun. Everything in this article should be seen as “tongue-in-cheek”. None of it should be taken seriously.

BTW, glad to hear that Steeler Nation is alive and well in Kentucky. Go Steelers!

  8. loveee itttt … cant wait for this game!! WE DEY!!!

  9. Thanks “By Me”. I’m always glad to hear that people enjoy my site.

    Go Steelers!

  10. There “Who Dey”is our “Hey Dey”. BTW I am from cincinnati my father is from Grove City. Anyhow in losernati there is a sign that says “Where-Dey” what a fan base! Here we Steelers!

  11. Carlton Brock says:

    Excellent, simply excellent!

  12. I have to say I liked most of this list, except that I live in Northern KY, across the river from Cincinnati…it’s way better to live over here than it is to live in Cincinnati. Cincinnati does have a hockey team, they are just a minor league team. They play in the ECHL.

    Go Steelers!
